UrbanLinkz Buses loses routes 821 and 822; gains route 713
The regulating authority has announced that we have been unsuccessful in our tender bid to retain feeder routes 821 and 822 serving Jurong West. The routes will transfer to a new operator on 27 July 2008.
At the same time, we have been awarded the contract to operate current route 823 (Boon Lay to Jurong West) which will be renumbered 713 on the same day.
Chief Executive Officer, Hafiz BAM said, "Whilst it is pleasing to retain the contract for one route, I am disappointed that we could not retain two of our own routes. This demonstrates the continuing pressure on contract prices and the high level of competition."
