UrbanLinkz entered the ferry service market in August 2007, bringing it closer to its aim of being the leading multi-modal public transport operator in Singapore and the region. This was made possible through the joint venture with SGT Group Holdings in which Temasek Ferry Services was acquired and its services merged with SGT Group's SGTXprezz's ferry services to form the current market leader SGTUrbanLinkz Ferries Pte Ltd.

SGTUrbanLinkz Ferries Pte Ltd operates regular traditional bumboat and modern ferry services within as well as to and from Singapore. It operates mainly out of the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and HarbourFront Cruise Centre to nearby overseas destinations such as Batam, Bintan and Desaru. It also offers services between selected ferry terminals in Peninsula Malaysia.

The operator of about 15 ferries also operate regular peak hour revenue ferry services along the Singapore River, as well as guided river cruises for tourists to Singapore. It also operates ferry services to the offshore islands which are famous for their leisure and ecological offerings, with the most frequent being the shuttle to Kusu Island during the religious pilgrimage season.
