UrbanLinkz Buses rolls out new improved trunk bus service network for Woodlands Town

UrbanLinkz Buses hears you.

Which is why effective Saturday, 19 January 2008, UrbanLinkz Buses will be rolling out a new network of trunk bus services to transport residents of Woodlands to the places they need to get to quickly and affordably.

The revised network consists of routes which ply the expressways wherever possible to minimise travel time. The total of ten routes radiating out of Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange also offers Woodlanders with new destinations such as Loyang, Changi Village, Upper Thomson, Kent Ridge, Holland Village and Kallang Bahru, while at the same time improving journeys to popular destinations such as Tampines, Bukit Panjang, Ang Mo Kio and the city centre.

These set of services will be complemented with the recently introduced trunk routes from our Marsiling Interchange, namely 756, 782 and 783 which strengthens neighbourhood links as well as intertown travel within the north, as well as current services operated by sister company Harmony Bus Services such as route 872.

In addition, we have also recently launched a network of Premium bus services to cater to those who are willing to pay slightly more for a guaranteed seat and a more comfortable journey into the city centre, be it for the office worker in Shenton Way/Suntec City or those seeking retail therapy along Orchard Road and Suntec City.

However, this also means that we have to withdraw the current network of trunk bus routes in Woodlands Town, including route 951 between Marsiling and Eunos, to reduce unnecessary duplication and optimise resources to keep costs down.
