Harmony Bus Services launches new feeder bus service networks in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok

Harmony Bus Services is kicking off the new year with a bang - by launching new feeder bus service networks in its home towns of Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok.

It will commence operations of six new feeder routes, two each in each town. The new improved feeder routes would provide greater connectivity for residents to local destinations such as shopping centres, schools and recreational destinations, without having the commuter make multiple transfers.

These feeder services also complement the current routes of the many trunk services which not only provide links between different towns, but also additional local neighbourhood links.

"Our new feeder routes is a stunning example of a win-win situation between the commercial public transport operator and the community it serves. Through our close partnership with the residents and also the Members of Parliament, we were able to identify links which the residents wanted, but at the same time, reduce wasteful duplication of our own routes to maximise these services' commercial viability," said Vice President, Harmony Bus Services, Miss Rachel Lim.

The six new routes will begin running on Tuesday, 1 January 2008 from 10am. Miss Lim and Chief Executive Officer of Harmony's parent company, UrbanLinkz Group, Mr Hafiz BAM, will officiate the launch of the services at Bukit Panjang Interchange.
