Changes to Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Yew Tee services

In our continuous efforts to serve our commuters even better, UrbanLinkz Buses will be making several changes to our services operating from Choa Chu Kang Interchange, Bukit Panjang Interchange and UrbanLinkz Yew Tee Terminal with effect from Sunday, 1 July 2007. More changes will be announced in the near future.

Services from Yew Tee Terminal



Service 763 to UrbanLinkz Jurong West Interchange

There will be no change to this service.

Service 862 >> Service 702 to Bukit Batok Interchange

Service 862, currently plying between Yew Tee Terminal and Bedok Interchange, will be shortened to terminate at Bukit Batok Interchange instead. With the change in route, it will be renumbered as service 702. The link between Choa Chu Kang and Hillview remains. In addition, the amended service will enhance links between Bukit Batok and Hillview/Teck Whye.

Service 866 >> Service 736 to Marina Centre Terminal

Service 866, currently plying between Yew Tee Terminal and Marina Centre via Chinatown, will be renumbered as service 736. There will be no major changes except for the minor amendment for it to serve the western portion of Choa Chu Kang Crescent instead of the eastern posrtion to serve more residents in the area.

In addition, an express variant of this service, Express service 736E, skipping several stops along its parent route, will be introduced on Monday, 2 July 2007. Express service 736E can save up to 20% of the current journey time and charges express fares. For more information, click here.

Service 935 >> Service 739 to Marina Centre Terminal

Service 935, currently plying between Yew Tee Terminal and Marina Centre via Novena and Bugis, will be renumbered as service 739. Together with the renumbering will be the amendment within Bukit Panjang town. In response to commuters' repeated requests, service 935 will be amended to serve the Bukit Panjang town centre enroute.

The amendment will benefit residents who require a transfer to a feeder service at the Bukit Panjang Interchange to get home. Commuters will also benefit from having a more centralised location to make transfers to other destinations. With the amendment, the service will ply Bukit Panjang Ring Road, Jelebu Road, Petir Road and Pending Road; instead of Saujana Road.


Services from Choa Chu Kang Interchange



Service 728 to Tampines Interchange

Service 728 which serves Bukit Panjang enroute, will be amended to skip Toa Payoh Lorong 6 as well as Jalan Kolam Ayer. Affected passengers can still transfer to this service along Jalan Toa Payoh. The amendment will shave off travel time for commuters travelling to the east and back.

Service 729 to Shenton Way Terminal

There will be no change to this service. However, an express variant of this service, Express service 729E, skipping several stops along its parent route, will be introduced on Monday, 2 July 2007. Service 731 to Sungei Kadut industrial estate

A new service to serve the workers of Sungei Kadut industrial estate. This one way peak-hour service will provide a very wide coverage of the industrial estate with connections to nearby facilities such as Yew Tee train station. Service 731 will operate only during peak hours from Mondays to Saturdays, starting from Monday, 2 July 2007.

Service 735 to Ang Mo Kio Interchange

Service 735, serving Bukit Panjang enroute, will be amended to provide a more progrssive travel for commuters. The service will no longer serve Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4. Instead, it will ply a Ang Mo Kio Avenues 5, 6 and 3.

Service 737 to Bukit Merah Interchange

A new service which will provide the essential link for Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok West residents to the Bukit Timah, Farrer Road and Queensway corridors. In particular, it will help provide the much requested link by former Hillview HDB estate residents currently residing along Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 to their favourite haunt at Bukit Timah.

Service 738 to Victoria Street

A new service which will provide a fast and direct link for Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok West residents with Orchard Road as well as the upcoming entertaiment hub of Bugis. It will also provide a convenient mode of travel for students studying in the various schools in the Bugis vicinity such as SMU and NAFA.


Services from Bukit Panjang Interchange



Service 727 to HarbourFront Interchange

Service 727, currently plying between Bukit Panjang Interchange and HarbourFront Interchange via Orchard Road and Chinatown, will be amended to provide a wider coverage of Bukit Panjang town by plying Pending Road, Petir Road and Dairy Farm Road instead of Bukit Panjang Road for access into BKE, and vice-versa. Affected residents may take alternative service 729 to get to the city.

Services 970 to Hougang Central Interchange

There will be no change to this service.

Services 972 to Sembawang Interchange

There will be no change to this service.

Services 975 & 975E to HarbourFront Interchange

There will be no change to these services.
