Coming Your Way...

UrbanLinkz to focus on northern and western Singapore

UrbanLinkz is positioning ourselves as a leading public transport service provider in areas we know best, that is, northern and western Singapore. Focus has been given to provide better quality services in these regions, by introducing more routes and amending current ones to enhance connectivity and convenience for commuters.

UrbanLinkz has carried out several service rationalisations over the past few months, in which we gave up bus services in areas not under our purview such as Hougang, Toa Payoh and Bukit Merah, to other bus companies such as XY Buses, G'zen Ltd and BusHopper Ltd. In return, UrbanLinkz gains services running in our core markets from these companies. Commuters stand to gain from this move as they will ultimately enjoy better services from us.

New Bus Interchanges to serve you better

We are also in the midst of constructing new bus interchanges integrated with shopping centres at three locations. Already up and running is Jurong West Interchange* which opened to much fanfare last August, while Kranji and Marsiling Interchanges* are currently under construction and will be ready for operations soon.

More than just acting as convenient transfer points, the commuting public can have a cuppa, carry out some shopping or even take a leisurely walk at the rooftop gardens. Expect greater ease and convenience when these lifestyle hubs are up and running.

Service Enhancements

In a bid to better serve our customers, UrbanLinkz has implemented the following service improvements:

1) Installation of air fresheners in buses
Passengers can now look forward to sweet-smelling interiors of our buses. This is thanks to the installation of air fresheners in all our buses over a period of one month. Every 12 metre bus will be installed with one, while every articulated bus will have two of them.Passengers with breathing allergies need not worry as we will be using air fresheners manufactured by Haze, a trusted brand that is widely used in many establishments worldwide.

2) New and improved service guides
Passengers can now travel with greater ease with help from our user-friendly guides available at the bus interchanges and onboard the buses. The newly printed guides include listing of major landmarks, transfer points and tourist attractions and the bus stops they will need to board and alight at to get to these places. The guides also feature travelling time between major stops, as well as the total estimated journey time, helping passengers gauge their travel time and make the necessary travel arrangements beforehand. Another new added feature is the displaying of diverted routes in case of major traffic congestion, especially for services going to Johor Bahru.
